Walker Consultants was prime designer and engineer of record for the University of Michigan’s Wall Street Parking Structure. The facility serves the Medical Campus and has 732 spaces on 6 levels.
The exterior design harmonizes with the surrounding campus and neighborhood, and includes a plaza with a unique cantilevered steel arch roof. A public walkway through the garage provides a convenient pedestrian link across the site.
A state-of-the-art, networked lighting control system with timers, photocells, and occupancy sensors controls the high-efficiency LED lighting to limit power use. A rain garden collects surface stormwater runoff.
