Rashid Ahmed is a Regional Structural Engineer in Walker’s Chicago (West) office. He oversees structural engineering projects for the Chicago (East and West), Minneapolis, and Tampa offices.
With Walker team since 1993, Rashid oversees the structural analysis and design of parking structures utilizing computer models, restoration design, coordination of engineering and drafting personnel, construction administration, and peer review for post-tensioned and precast concrete parking structures. He has provided leadership on a number of successful design-build projects, including a 1,000-space mixed-use structure at the University of Chicago and Crown Center, a 2,700 space parking structure located in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rashid is active in a number of professional organizations, and he serves on various committees with the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and the Post-Tensioning Institute.
