John joined Walker in 1980 and is currently Chairman of the Board. He has been personally involved in the planning and functional design of over 300 parking facilities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, has extensive experience in preparation of parking feasibility studies, and with the restoration engineering of existing parking facilities.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities John acts as Project Advisor for very large/complex projects. John previously served as the Managing Principal for the Denver and Tampa offices and was Managing Director of Walker’s East Region until he was appointed as CEO and President in 1998. Twenty-two years later, 2020, the role of President was transitioned to Dave Ryan.
