Carl joined Walker in 2006 and is now Managing Principal of the Minneapolis office. He is responsible for management of projects, structural and parking design, quality reviews, specification development and contract document coordination. He also manages and directs facility restoration projects, field surveys and testing, develops designs for rehabilitation and restoration of structures, and excels in construction administration of projects. His extensive background in structural design, testing and construction lends to insightful contributions to the approach of projects. As a structural engineer Carl has designed numerous post-tensioned parking facilities and has developed repairs for various structure types including precast and post-tensioned concrete buildings steel-framed parking facilities. He also has extensive led several parking area lighting studies, leading to implementation of safety, security and energy efficiency improvements in many parking facilities.
