Walker provided parking consulting and structural engineering services for this eight level open parking structure. The structure provides event parking for the GEICO Center, home of the Orlando Magic. This 1,876 space structure has an express ramp system that will empty the entire structure in 30 minutes after an event. All parking is on flat floors for user convenience and safety. The structure includes a parking management system (to help users find available parking), bus and truck storage, broadcasting capabilities, a parking office, two data centers and an emergency generator. It also includes a helicopter landing area, a climate-controlled pedestrian bridge to the Events Center, public art, and energy efficient lighting.
