David Vander Wal directs design services for Walker’s New York office. He is also the Principal-in-Charge for functional and structural design services in the metropolitan region and overseas.
David has 45 years of experience working across a broad spectrum of project types and managing them from the early planning stages through the final punch list. A widely acknowledged parking expert, he has delivered mixed use projects such as the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai; transportation hubs such as the John F. Kennedy Airport, La Guardia Airport, and Wyandanch LIRR station; campuses including Northern Westchester Hospital and Molloy College; entertainment venues such as Mohegan Sun Casino and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; and urban municipal garages like the Lyon Place garage.
